One night we all were asleep. It was at this time Archie came limping and we were totally shocked. We just switched on the light to see what has happened to Archie. We were able to see his left back leg which was hanging and Archie was in a pool of blood. He started crying with pain. He was not able to put any weight on his back leg. He was struggling hard and he was unable to move his injured leg. When we examined his injured leg we were able to see a puncture wound at the top of his injured leg. We just wrapped him in a towel and took him immediately to the veterinary hospital.

The doctors amputated his limb, since his leg was in a bad condition. His wound was stitched up. For next half a week, Archie was not awake most of the times and it always slept. Archie was given a three week course of pain killers and these painkillers helped in soothing the pain.
