The Development of software industry made our country to a top level in our global map. Our economic development is increased only due to Information Technology. National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), surveyed that gross domestic product of the revenue of the information technology area has risen from 1.2 per cent of the gross domestic product (GDP) in 1997-98 to an estimated 5.8 per cent in 2008-09.
The software industry professionals are expecting 4 – 7 %growth in 2009-2010 .Definitely there will be a10 %growth to the next year. India's IT growth in the human race is chiefly conquered by information technology software and services such as Custom Application Development and Maintenance (CADM), System Integration, information technology Consulting, Application Management, Software testing, and Web services.
As per NASSCOM's survey:
Indian – Information Technology BPO area grew by 12 % in 2009 to reach US$ 71.7 billion in collective revenue which it includes the hardware exports. The software and services sector accounted for US$ 59.6 billion. Information technology - BPO exports grew by 16 % from US$ 40.9 billion in 2007-2008 to US$ 47.3 billion in 2008-2009 & mainly the hardware exports will also be included in it.
Currently, there are nearly 60 million Internet users in the countryside. In MAIT (Manufacturer’s Association of IT) Survey the internet users have been increased from 8.6 million by March 2009 from 7.2 million in March 2008.The goal of MAIT that it should be achieved by 2012 which was named as” GOAL 511”.The target speaks that 500 million Internet users, 100 million broadband connections, and 100 million connected devices .The IT wealth are located in Bangalore, Hyderabad and currently growing in Chennai and Kolkata
Mostly the IT people will be Indians because our education system shaped the students as intelligent people. India's growth standing form close ties with both the USA and the European union.Nearly10000 Indians settled in USA by 1960.T By the 1980s the professionals in India were in search of employment in other countries. The internet access is normally visible to the people in 1992.the gateway for electronic mail service is introduced by VSNL in 1991.
The 64 k bits leased line service in 1992 was also introduced by VSNL (VIDESH SANCHAR NIGAM LIMITED).From 1993-2002 the economic growth is overviewed as 6 % annually . the development of Information Technology was developed under the administration of Vajpayee .In her period of administration only the Indian National Task Force on Information Technology and Software Development was formed. In the year 2003 Wolcott & Goodman submitted a report which plays an important role in Indian National Task Force on Information Technology and Software Development .In 2000 we follow legal procedures for electronic transactions and e-commerce according to the Information Technology Act 2000.
